Sydney Michelle McLaughlin is an American hurdler and sprinter who is the World Record holder in the 400 metres hurdles. She is the 2020 Tokyo Olympics gold medalist, and also the current world and Olympic records holder with 50.68s and 51.46s, respectively.

She is married to Andre Levrone Jr., who graduated from the University of Virginia in 2017 and spent three seasons as a wide receiver in the NFL before quitting the league.
He was born on the 9th of March 1995 and he is currently 27 years old. At the Four Seasons Resort, Scottsdale, on the 25th of August 2021, Levrone and McLaughlin announced their engagement. On the 5th of May 2022, they got married.

Sydney was born in New Brunswick, New Jersey. She was born on the 7th of August 1999 and currently, she is 22 years old. Sydney’s mother’s name is Mary McLaughlin, and her father’s name is Willie McLaughlin.
She is living with a family of athletes. At the 1984 Olympic Trials, her father, Willie was a three-time All-American and member of the Manhattan College Athletic Hall of Fame, finished in the semifinals of the 400-meter race.
Mary, her mother, ran in the young men’s division at Cardinal O’Hara High School in Tonawanda, New York, where she ran the half-mile in 2:12.

She has two siblings namely Taylor McLaughlin and Morgan McLaughlin.
Taylor, her older sibling, competed for the University of Michigan and took home silver in the 400-meter obstacles race at the 2016 IAAF World U20 Championships. Morgan, the older and more accomplished sister, ran for St. Peter’s University.
